sunsystem ebusiness dition offers flexibility

SYSTEMS Union advises Malaysian businesses not to forget that as they
change the way they interact with customers, suppliers and employees,
their back-office systems also need to be changed.
The company, one of the global leaders in management and business
software, support and services, is telling its customers that they need
infrastructure that is scalable to meet their constantly changing business
needs.
And the infrastructure must be combined with a solution that can handle
the complexities of dealing with a global supply chain and global
customers.
At a press conference following the launching of its SunSystems
eBusiness Edition software in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, the company's chief
executive for Asia Pacific, Mr Mark Wolfendale, said organisations can now
use the Internet to achieve their business goals by shifting the
organisational focus from controlling the business, to providing new and
innovative ways to go to market, reach new audiences and collaborate with
their supply chain.
"With SunSystems our aim is to provide the flexibility to do this
regardless of how or where an organisation operates," he said.
Systems Union claims that with the new eBusiness Edition software, it
now has what is required to take businesses into the future and enable
them to fully exploit the Internet-driven business revolution.
SunSystems eBusiness Edition is the next step in System Union's strategy
to deliver the premier Internet-enabled suite of business software for
companies wishing to re-invent themselves as e-businesses.
The eBusiness Edition is a fully integrated e-business solution that
offers application functionality combined with full process automation and
integration of the e-business environment.
It provides a powerful and easy-to-use e-business gateway that can be
rapidly implemented to form the basis of an organisation's e-business
solution and is designed to allow web-based applications to easily access
SunSystems data and submit commercial transactions in real time as well as
provide third party applications with access to SunSystems transaction
processing functions.
In addition, a powerful process manager function allows organisations to
automate end-to-end business processes. It monitors and manages activity
within the system and allows users to define and process their own rules
about data entered into their financial and supply chain management
systems, whether entered directly or imported.
SunSystems eBusiness Edition is available immediately on Microsoft SQL
Server 7.0, and will be ported to other platforms over the next few
months.
